I am in my first year studying BTEC level 3 TV & film and new media. I fully enjoy the course I am doing and I have a huge interest in media as a whole.

My initial plan was to study A-level Psychology, Sociology, Media and Spanish but unfortunately I didn't get enough GCSE's at A*-C to do so. 

Career Plans? I hope to become a Psychologist somehow or a production manager or maybe work in advertising. i see myself doing something practical; sitting in an office is not me. A job worth waking up for.. yes please.

Background? Im half Egyptian, half Welsh. My dad being Egyptian and my mom Welsh. I have a huge family on my dads side, i know like every one of them. I don't know any of my relatives on my moms side. My mom had a really tough childhood, not knowing her biological mother, her biological father not giving a shit. She was in and out of foster care until her uncle, her dads brother, and his wife adopted her. She had to leave school at an early age to care for her aunt/mother as she had cancer and her uncle/father was out working all the time. She later then lost her mother at 19 then shortly after her father passed. This left her in a bad way, it caused her to get involved in drugs and crime, introduced her to bad relationships and prison life. It saddens me that my mother went through all of that but it is her strength that I admire the most, it inspires me and makes me more determined to live a good life for her.
