Setting up scratch disk

When setting up a scratch disk you need to open up final cut pro and then click on the 'final cut pro' icon on the left hand side of the tool bar at the top of the page. When done this scroll down and click on 'system settings'.

Once the system settings file is open, you should click on the first set box at the top of the scroll box in the middle of the file.

Finder should then pop up and you should click onto 'macintosh HD 2'. Your next step is to make a new folder in the file.

Like so...

For example; Aisha Amer.
After you've named your file you click create and then you double click on your file and click choose.

The next step is to set your file for waveform cache, thumbnail cache and autosave vault. You simply do all three of these by clicking on the set button allocated next to each heading.

That done you click 'ok' and you have now set up your scratch disk.
